The Norfolk coast is registered as a Area of natural beauty (AONB) since 1968 under the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949. Nature reserves in this 450km area includes two National Nature Reserves, Blakeney Point and Winterton Dunes. The Heritage Coast stretch of the AONB is a Site of Special Interest, Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and a Special Protection Area. The Pedders Way and the Norfolk Coastal Path pass through the AONB.
Nature lovers come here from all over the country to view this unspoiled landscape and enjoy all the rare wildlife in its natural environment. There are also many traditional seaside towns for all the family to enjoy.
